PROSPECT STREET the hum short for human is constant here in the shadow of the Story Bridge an exhausting soundtrack of human fuelled cars driving endlessly to nowhere and everywhere six lanes, like arteries pulsing through this strangely concocted, eroded, citified, plasticized landscape steel, glass, tunnels and webs and webs of deceit footprints so much larger than we ought to leave and yet, shrouded in a cloak of green, an aura of car-park around us we filter what suits us to survive along with the remnant inhabitants scaled, feathered and furred we are the last tenants making the best of our urban home nurturing the creative muse and we walk by the river which still winds and ebbs and flows with the tide regardless

Ursa Minor 05:02
URSA MINOR Can you hear me? Are you listening? Can you hear can you hear me? Are you listening? Too many paths you can take it’s so easy to make a mistake Looking for a sign that’s mine for the stars to align The world is busy, noisy and full of hate I’m finding it hard to concentrate Sometimes I wish that I could just stop and listen Sometimes I think I should just stop and listen Are you listening? Are you listening? I said I love you and I always want to be with you want to bring out the best want to bring out the best in you want to bring out the best in me I said I love you and I’m never going to let you down going to bring out the best going to bring out the best in you going to bring out the best in me Too many paths you can take it’s so easy to make a mistake Looking for a sign that’s mine for the stars to align The world is busy, noisy and full of hate I’m finding it hard to concentrate Sometimes I think that I could just stop and listen Sometimes I think I should just stop and listen Can you hear can you hear me? Are you listening? Are you listening? I said I love you Are you listening? I said I love you

WHAT KIND OF LIFE You make more money, that’s the aim of the game but when all is said and done you know our needs are still the same A little food, a little love, a little shelter from a storm and yet you still convince our sons they need to go on fighting wars I want to spend my money on milk and honey not bombs to drop on my brothers and sisters You with the power, with your turn up on the throne could put an end to exploitation, could put right what’s gone so wrong We’re from the earth and it can take care of us all but you only see the dollar, keep on counting while we fall I want to spend my days in the forests and the bays not concrete slums, working for the system What kind of life, what kind of life, what kind of life, what kind of life What kind of life, what kind of life, what kind of life, what kind of life do you want to live? I’ve got the feeling that the worst is yet to come we cannot run nor can we hide, no, from all that man has done this country is not ours, this land belongs to none and yet you try and stop those desperate for a home from finding one I want to spend more time sharing songs and understanding, not locking up my brothers and sisters What kind of life, what kind of life, what kind of life, what kind of life What kind of life, what kind of life, what kind of life, what kind of life What kind of life, what kind of life, what kind of life, what kind of life What kind of life, what kind of life, what kind of life, what kind of life do you want to live?

Two Buttons 05:21
TWO BUTTONS She had a flower in her hair and she was beautiful She had two buttons done up ‘cause three was too many too many Is it time to pull the curtains and let the sunshine in or is it time to light the fire ‘cause winter’s about to begin begin The past is there to haunt us and the future’s out of reach When sleep finally comes all I get is that endless speech endless speech

HONEYMOON SHACK Sultry days, a summer haze, lying languid by the riverside shedding the skins we slip our bodies in, surrender to our wild-sides in this rugged, ancient land where clear waters flow and the platypus still do play way up in the mountains where spirits dance among the stars of the milky way Precious time for me and you we make the most of making memories anew We’re sipping wine by the fireside the glow reflected in the faces of our friends who share in the magic our laughter echoes in the finest night air and if only for a few short days we feel that life could be lived without a care Hand in hand, by your side no mountain’s too high, there’s no river too wide for you and me, an endless summer love that knows no boundaries only grows ever stronger let’s build a little shack and honeymoon for the longest time we’ll watch as our grand-children grow up and dance into our twilight years together
